SHORT INCA TRAIL 2D/1N
We offer a special two day option for those who are short on time in Cusco, this is a great way to arrive to Machu Picchu if you do not have enough time to do the full four day trek. This option provides a fabulous taste of the Inca trail, without the camping, but do not feel you will miss out as we even enter Machu Picchu via the original Sungate, a sight to behold forever.
Although we didn't do the full 4 day trek to Machu Picchu, we were all really glad to have done the roughly 8 miles one-day hike to Machu Picchu. It was a beautiful hike through cloud forest and past. Incan sites with another delicious and big packed lunch (that was homemade during the night before our hike so it would be as fresh as possible). Seeing MP through the Sun Gate and away from the crowds (and after all the effort to get there) made it extra special.
Machu Picchu is massive and incredible but also extremely crowded. We all appreciated that our first experience of it was from the trek rather than after getting of the bus at the entrance and being surrounded by tons of tourists....
Quechua does a lot more than lead treks and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality experience.
