We pick you up in the morning from your hotel to have a fantastic cultural and culinary experience in the capital of the Country. This is a great tour to learn from Peruvian gastronomy, popular art, and the history of Lima.

First, test your senses by tasting the local products in a local market. Visit Chinatown, the largest in South América, and taste some of the so special Peruvian-Chinese food. You will also take a walk in the Historic Centre of Lima observing its monuments and its elegant architecture. Then, you will meet a chef and visit his famous restaurant where you will be able to go in the kitchen to observe the making of ceviche, a great gastronomic experience!

Next, you will enjoy a walk around the streets of Barranco (described in the book “The City and the Dogs” by Mario Vargas Llosa), visit a private collection and some shops of the best Peruvian handicraft, coming from all the corners in Peru. Finally, visit a local restaurant to taste the well-known traditional Peruvian dessert called picarones, made of squash and sweet potato.

We complete a full day in Lima with a walk in the Historic Centre, a culinary tour, and a shopping tour. The tour starts and ends in any hotel located in Miraflores or San Isidro.

After landing in Cusco, one of our representatives will be at the airport to greet and transfer you to your hotel in Sacred Valley. Once we collect you from the airport, we break away from Cusco and descend into the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Spending our first day in Pisac (part of Sacred Valley) is a perfect way to acclimatize; known for its traditional market and archaeological complex built into the mountainside. Its views, balconies, tunnels, crop terraces, and irrigation canals are some of the finest.

After exploring & hiking around the ancient Inca Pisac, we will spend some time walking around its unique and artisanal market, where we can appreciate or buy the different crafts that are handmade in this colonial town of Pisac, located just below the Inca site where we were walking previously.

Then, allowing your bodies to adjust to the altitude, we´ll go to our accommodation nearby.

Prepare for an incredible adventure! We'll begin our journey by collecting you from your hotel and setting off on a captivating day hike from the picturesque Siwas village, perched at 3800 m (12460 ft). As we climb to the pass, weather permitting, you may catch sight of the majestic Ausangate mountain in the southeast - a standout among Cusco's revered peaks.

Descending, we'll traverse the renowned Inca Trail, passing through the charming village of Pukamarka, leading to a breathtaking ravine. The well-paved paths and quaint bridges over a flowing creek guide us to the Sacred Valley, offering striking views of agricultural terraces and glimpses of local wildlife, including deer and vibrant birds.

Our journey culminates at Huchuyqosqo, an awe-inspiring Inca site perched high above the Sacred Valley. Here, enjoy a delightful box lunch while delving into the site's historical significance. Discover the remarkable agricultural engineering showcased through its irrigation channels and terraces.

In the afternoon, we bid farewell to Huchuyqosqo and trek for approximately two hours, descending towards Lamay Village, where transportation awaits to take us to Ollantaytambo hotel.

We will take the train from Ollantaytambo train station to Km 104, where the short Inca Trail starts.

The valley turns into a canyon and the scenery begins to alter as the cloud forests appear on our approach to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We will disembark the train at Km 104 and start the hike along a quite challenging uphill path.

This ancient Inca Trail takes us uphill all the way to the magnificent archeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, from where there are many steep steps to climb to reach the upper part of the Archaeological Site. Here we find a fabulous sense of peace far from the crowds. with superb views of the imposing verdant mountains and native orchids. The trail now becomes gentler, continuing all the way to the Sun Gate, where we arrive to Machu Picchu through its real entrance. It is from here that we will have our first glimpse of the Machu Picchu citadel. We then cross the site to take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and check in to our lodge to rest and relax, in anticipation of a full afternoon tour tomorrow.

Good morning, adventurers! Energized and ready for our unforgettable day, you have the choice to either enjoy a leisurely morning or explore the vibrant town.

Today holds the promise of a remarkable adventure. We'll kickstart our day with an early lunch at one of Aguas Caliente's finest restaurants, ensuring ample time for an immersive afternoon at the Citadel. Accompanied by our expert guide, a scenic 25-minute bus ride will transport us to the mystical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. There, we'll embark on an awe-inspiring tour, uncovering the mysteries and hidden wonders of this enigmatic citadel. Be prepared for a captivating journey lasting approximately 2 hours.

As the clock ticks to 5:00 pm, marking the site's closure, we'll board a bus back to Aguas Calientes. Then, the charm continues with a delightful train ride back to Ollantaytambo, offering a chance to reflect on what might be one of the most extraordinary experiences of your life.

After an early breakfast, we’ll leave our hotel to visit Ollantaytambo archaeological site before it becomes too busy. We will walk around the Inca Fortress and ceremonial site of Ollantaytambo, marveling at these extraordinarily well-preserved ruins set around a tranquil plaza, renowned for its peaceful charm. The little-altered layout of the town offers an unprecedented peek into the way of life of its past peoples, the Incas; even the street names are original.

Then we will drive to Cusco for lunch in a very tasty restaurant. After that, our walking tour begins in earnest today with an eye-opening tour through some of the most beautiful streets of Cusco. We will walk around the old bohemian quarter of San Blas, famous for its picturesque white walls and blue doors and historically artisan community. On the other side of Cusco, we find San Pedro market, a Cusqueñan institution, not to be missed. Famous for its tantalizingly exotic fresh fruits and vegetables, mouth-watering juices, too many to choose from, and its natural medicinal herb stalls.

Arriving in the morning, prepare for a thrilling balance test with stand-up paddleboarding or opt for the serenity of kayaking amidst the breathtaking landscape. Our accommodation for the night is at the inviting Hacienda Chuquiccahuana. Cusco's haciendas were significant agricultural estates during the Spanish colonial era. They were vital for producing goods and operated with labor from indigenous communities or African slaves. Many of these estates have evolved into historic sites, agricultural centers, or tourist destinations, reflecting Cusco's colonial history.

A hearty breakfast is the order of the day to fuel us up for our spectacular trek today. We have a short drive to our drop-off point, the small town of Santa Lucia, ready to begin our full-day hike of 9 km. Our route utilizes some of the best and most remote trek paths in the area, staying away from the more popular ways to approach this archeological site, and providing us with a road less traveled.

The hike takes us through steep, sweeping canyons either side of the Apurimac River, surrounded by gigantic, incredible rock formations that appear to defy gravity. The views are nothing short of majestic, this is nature at her best and the brave ones among us will have the opportunity to approach the lookout points for awe-inspiring full views of the canyon along our hike.

The little-known pre-Inca and Inca site of Waqrapukara or “Horn-Shaped Fortress” is an astonishing example of unfathomable Inca masonry techniques, that simultaneously combines and complements the natural advantageous aspects of natural rock formations, with their incredible engineering and architectural skills.

Again, we are off the beaten track with little presence of other travelers. We arrive with time to allow us to comprehend the overwhelming, incomparable natural beauty and death-defying engineering, it is truly a sight to behold. Tonight, we have the privilege to camp right next to the archaeological site.

Waking up to breathtaking views of this ancient Inca fortress this wonderful morning, we seize the opportunity to take our time, chill out and explore the site. Archaeologist Miguel Cornejo said of this site “Waqrapukara is an Inca sanctuary of the first order that denotes immense political and religious power, as-yet undeciphered”.

We will share a beautiful lunch at our campsite prepared by our trek cooks before we set off on our return trek this afternoon. Walking a new route onwards out of the site we discover yet more hidden Inca sites as we trek 7.7 km today towards the community of Huayqui to meet our private transport to head back to Cusco.
