CUSCO CITY RIDE

CUSCO CITY RIDE

Begin your journey on two wheels, weaving through the historic center of Cusco as the city slowly wakes. Our first stop is the San Cristóbal Viewpoint, where you’ll pause to take in sweeping views of the red-tiled roofs and surrounding mountains — a perfect introduction to the landscape and stories that define this highland city.

From there, the path leads into the heart of San Blas, Cusco’s artistic and spiritual neighborhood. As we ride through its narrow streets, you’ll pass traditional homes, quiet plazas, and remnants of Inca architecture, all while your guide shares the history and culture that live within these stones.

A visit to the local San Blas Market offers a window into daily life. Here, we’ll taste a variety of fresh, seasonal fruits from the surrounding valleys — a vibrant reflection of the region’s biodiversity and culinary heritage.

We finish the experience with a well-earned lunch made from local ingredients, prepared with care and shared in good company. It’s a moment to relax, reflect, and enjoy the flavors of the Andes — the perfect close to a morning of exploration and connection.

Tour duration: Approximately 4 - 5 hours, depending on the pace of the group and the number of stops for exploration.

Altitude range: From 3300 masl (10,827 feet) to 3400 masl (11,155 feet)..

Minimum age: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

It is just the beginning of a holy trail full of sanctuaries. Today, after about 7 hours walking we will reach our first camping place at Huayllabamba (3000 mt/9842ft). MARS MORAY

MARAS & MORAY

The road linking the town of Maras and the archaeological site of Moray is a single track, excellent for cross-country biking with natural ups and downs that make the experience both fun and dynamic. Along the way, we enjoy sweeping views of the Urubamba Mountain Range, including the snowcapped peaks of Chicón, Pumahuanca, and Wakay Willca. Maras itself is a traditional agricultural village, known for its striking salt ponds and deep-rooted farming culture.

We begin our day driving from the hotel up to the high plateau of Anta. The ride starts at Cruzpata, a community near the Piuray Lagoon in the Chinchero area. Here, we warm up by pedaling along quiet dirt roads that let us ease into the rhythm of the day. The route leads us to the fascinating archaeological site of Moray—believed to have been an ancient agricultural research center where native crops like potatoes were tested in different microclimates formed by the circular terraces.

After a rest stop in Maras, we continue riding toward the iconic salt mines, following scenic trails. Depending on the group’s experience and comfort level, there’s the option to descend further into the Sacred Valley, ending the ride near the town of Pichingoto.
