This is where the adventure begins — a journey that will take you from the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands, through the artistic soul of Cuenca, and into the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Cotopaxi.

Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to rest or enjoy a relaxed evening at the hotel. This first night is designed to help you settle in, recharge, and gently prepare for the experiences ahead.

Question 2

DAY 2 – WELCOME TO THE GALÁPAGOS

After breakfast, we take a morning flight to the Galápagos Islands, one of the world’s last untouched wildlife sanctuaries.

Upon arrival at Baltra Island, we meet our local guide and cross the channel to Santa Cruz. From here, we ride through the island’s lush highlands, where giant tortoises roam freely among misty forests. In this surreal landscape, we have the chance to quietly observe these ancient creatures in their natural habitat and learn about the delicate balance between wildlife and people on the islands.

At midday, we stop for lunch at a local reserve, surrounded by birdsong and open pastures where Darwin’s finches and ducks can often be spotted. In the afternoon, we continue our ride to Puerto Ayora, the main town of Santa Cruz, and check into our hotel.

Dinner is enjoyed by the waterfront, watching the sun set over the Pacific — the perfect end to your first magical day in the Galápagos.

DAY 3 - TORTUGA BAY: WALK, KAYAK & DISCOVER

In the morning, we walk about 30 minutes from town to reach the stunning Tortuga Bay — a white-sand paradise where sea turtles come to nest and marine iguanas rest along the shore. The beach is also home to blue-footed boobies, and its crystal-clear waves invite you to slow down and take it all in.

For those who wish, there’s an option to go kayaking at Playa Mansa (“Calm Bay”), where you might spot white-tipped reef sharks gliding beneath the water or rays moving gracefully through the turquoise shallows.

In the afternoon, we return to Puerto Ayora for a leisurely stroll through the town’s streets and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Here, our guide will share the important conservation efforts that help protect the unique wildlife of the Galápagos.

DAY 4 – ISABELA ISLAND, TORTOISES, LAGOONS & SUNSET

Early in the morning, we take a shared boat to Isabela Island, the westernmost inhabited island of the Galápagos. Upon arrival, we transfer to our beachside hotel to drop off our bags and take a moment to relax before the day’s adventure begins.

We then stroll along the beach and through town to the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, where we can see the island’s famous tortoises up close — from tiny hatchlings to fully grown elders — living safely before returning to the wild. Along the way, pink flamingos and other wildlife may appear in the nearby lagoons, adding even more magic to the walk.

After lunch, we hop on our bikes to explore the Isabela wetlands, a network of brackish lagoons and hidden beaches framed by mangroves and volcanic landscapes.

As the day winds down, we watch the sunset while enjoying a refreshing local drink called “Cocoloco,” and end the evening with a relaxed, beachside dinner — the perfect close to a day immersed in nature and island life.

DAY 5 - SNORKEL,  AT LOS TUNELES

We travel by boat to a site known as “Los Túneles”, where ancient lava flows have created a maze of arches and tunnels beneath the sea. The landscape feels almost otherworldly—crystal-clear water winding through black volcanic rock. Here, we’ll snorkel alongside sea turtles, white-tipped reef sharks, and—if we’re lucky—the Galápagos penguin, one of the rarest species on Earth. After a short hike through the area to take in the incredible scenery, we enjoy lunch on board before returning to town in the afternoon.

DAY 6 - FLEXIBLE DAY / OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Today is a flexible day designed for you to choose how active (or relaxed) you’d like to be. You may join one of the optional half-day or full-day excursions below, or simply enjoy some free time in town to recharge and explore at your own pace.

Optional activities include:
 • Short hike & snorkeling tour (half day) to nearby islets, ideal for marine life observation.
 • Kayaking in the bay (half day), a peaceful way to explore the coastline from the water.
 • Full-day hike to Sierra Negra Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the region, offering impressive landscapes and views.
 • Surf lesson, suitable for beginners or those looking to improve their skills.

This day allows you to balance adventure and rest before continuing the journey.

DAY 7 - FAREWELL GALÁPAGOS - RETURN TO MAINLAND

After an unforgettable journey through the enchanted islands, we take an early transfer to Baltra Island by small plane and board our flight back to Guayaquil, continuing on to Cuenca. As we leave the Galápagos behind, we carry with us the sights, sounds, and stillness of one of Earth’s most magical places. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Cuenca and settle in for a peaceful evening in this charming Andean city.

DAY 8 - CUENCA CULTURAL IMMERSION & THERMAL RELAXATION

We start the day at a relaxed pace, enjoying a late morning before heading out to explore Cuenca’s charming historic center. Cobblestone streets, elegant cathedrals, and artisan workshops set the scene as we walk through this beautiful colonial city with our local guide.

For lunch, we join a hands-on cooking experience with a local chef — learning to prepare a traditional dish using fresh regional ingredients and enjoying the flavors we’ve helped create.

In the afternoon, we head to the nearby Andean hot springs, surrounded by misty mountains, where you can soak, unwind, and let the day fade away in total tranquility.

DAY 9 - E-BIKE, ART & LOCAL FLAVORS

We start the day with an e-bike city tour, exploring Cuenca’s scenic streets and discovering its green and artistic side. The ride takes us through the botanical garden, riverside parks, and a few hidden local food spots, where the city’s charm truly comes alive.

Back at the hotel, we enjoy lunch at the restaurant, tasting some local flavors before checking out.

In the afternoon, we visit Julio Montesinos’ House & Gallery for a creative and inspiring experience. With over forty years dedicated to painting, Julio is one of Ecuador’s most renowned artists. He welcomes us into his world, guiding us to create our own piece of art, sharing techniques, stories, and a glass of good wine along the way.

Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Quito. Upon arrival, pick-up and transfer to your hotel — Patio Andaluz or similar — for a relaxing evening in the capital.

DAY 10 - WALKING THROUGH COLONIAL QUITO & LATITUDE 0°

We begin the day wandering through the heart of Quito’s UNESCO World Heritage Site with our guide, exploring its cobblestone streets and architectural gems. We visit Plaza Grande, the Cathedral of Quito, the Presidential Palace, the breathtaking Church of La Compañía, and the historic San Francisco Plaza—each place revealing a piece of the city’s rich colonial past.

Next, we drive north to Mitad del Mundo, stopping on the way at the Miskey factory, where we learn about the production of Ecuador’s own version of “tequila.” We’ll taste some of the finest local liquors and enjoy a typical lunch surrounded by the highlands’ beautiful scenery. Afterwards, we continue to the Equator Line (Latitude 0°)—the symbolic center of the world—before driving back to the hotel.

In the evening, you’ll have free time to enjoy dinner at a stylish fusion restaurant, where Ecuadorian flavors meet modern creativity. Afterwards, a short briefing will follow to prepare for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 11 - COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK VISIT

After breakfast, we pick you up and drive toward Cotopaxi National Park (approximately 2 hours). Along the way, our guide shares stories and insights about the region’s impressive volcanoes—some active, some dormant—and their role in shaping the Andes. Upon arrival at Cotopaxi, we enjoy a short hike at the base of the mountain, taking in incredible views of this towering giant of the Andes. Lunch is served at a nearby restaurant with stunning vistas of the volcano, allowing you to soak in the scenery and reflect on the day. Afterward, we return to Quito airport for your departure, concluding this unforgettable journey through Ecuador’s highlands and volcanic landscapes.
