There were no mistakes at all on our 14 day trip that included both Chile and Argentina. The only thing that would have been better is if Mayra was our guide, but sadly we booked the trip to late. After breakfast at the hotel, journey into one of Colombia’s most iconic landscapes with a visit to the Cocora Valley, home to the majestic Wax Palm, Colombia’s national tree.

Over the course of approximately two and a half hours, experience the beauty and tranquility of this remarkable environment while learning about its ecological and cultural significance.

As with any destination, we recommend taking normal precautions and following local advice, but most travelers are pleasantly surprised by how friendly and welcoming Colombia feels.
Colombia is a year-round destination. Thanks to its diverse geography, the weather varies by region rather than by season. Whether you're exploring the Coffee Region, the Caribbean coast, the Andes, or the Amazon, there is always somewhere wonderful to visit.
Colombia’s climate is as diverse as its landscape and wildlife. It depends on the city or region you are visiting and the time of year. Due to its proximity to the equator, much of Colombia experiences tropical weather patterns. Cities or regions at a higher elevation, such as Bogotá and the mountain towns outside Medellín, can be quite cool and rainy.
For this reason, we recommend that travelers come prepared for a wide range of weather conditions. Expect everything from the cold, rainy highlands of the Andes Mountains (like Bogotá and its surroundings) to the hot, humid Caribbean coast. Regions of Colombia have different rainy and dry seasons. These seasons are less pronounced than in temperate countries and are influenced by irregular weather patterns, such as El Niño and La Niña. In conclusion, the weather is hard to predict, so be prepared for anything.
Caribbean Coast:
The temperatures range from 22°C to 36°C (73°F to 97°F) on the Caribbean Coast all year round. There are three main seasons in the Caribbean Coast.
Dry Season: December – April
Mid-Rain Season: May – August
Rainy Season: October & November
Andean Region (Medellin & Bogota):
The temperature is stable in this region throughout the year, though it can vary depending on the altitude. The higher, the colder. Most months are also the same, in terms of rain, though April, May, October and November tend to experience the most rain, and it is expected to see sunny days in Bogota in December – January. Temperature in Medellin is quite balanced, ranging between 14°C to 30°C (57°F to 86°F). In Bogotá, it can get as low as 5°C (40°F) on a cold night, and 20°C (68°F) on a sunny day. This is why it is called “the city of the eternal spring”.
