After landing in Cusco, one of our representatives will be waiting at the airport to greet you and kick off this unforgettable family adventure. From there, we’ll head straight out of the city and into the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our first stop is at Mountain View, a beautiful spot with breathtaking Andean scenery—perfect for getting into the spirit of the trip. We’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by friendly llamas and alpacas, a fun and memorable experience for kids and adults alike. There's plenty of time to soak in the views, take photos, and connect with these iconic animals of the Andes.

After lunch, we’ll continue to your cozy hotel nearby, where you can relax, settle in, and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting as your journey begins.

On this day, we have two options: a day hike to Huchuyqosqo or fly fishing in one of the high-altitude lakes near the Sacred Valley, followed by concluding the activity in the Sacred Valley. In the event that the group separates, they will reconvene at the accommodation, also located in the Valley, to share the experiences of this day filled with wonderful memories.

HUCHUYQOSQO DAY HIKE (Choice #1):

Prepare for an incredible adventure!

We'll begin our journey by collecting you from your hotel and setting off on a captivating day hike from above the picturesque Siwas village, perched at (3 800 masl / 12 460 ft). As we climb to the pass, weather permitting, you may catch sight of the majestic Ausangate mountain in the southeast - a standout among Cusco's revered peaks.

Descending, we'll traverse the renowned Inca Trail, passing through the charming village of Pukamarka, leading to a breathtaking ravine. The well-paved paths and quaint bridges over a flowing creek guide us to the Sacred Valley, offering striking views of agricultural terraces and glimpses of local wildlife, including deer and vibrant birds.

Our journey culminates at Huchuyqosqo, an awe-inspiring Inca site perched high above the Sacred Valley. Here, enjoy a delightful box lunch while delving into the site's historical significance. Discover the remarkable agricultural engineering showcased through its irrigation channels and terraces.

In the afternoon, we bid farewell to Huchuyqosqo and trek for approximately two hours, descending towards Lamay Village, where transportation awaits to take us to Ollantaytambo hotel.

FLY FISHING INTICOCHA - PAMPALLACTA (Choice #2):

Explore the enchanting Inticocha, one of the 13 lakes nestled in the indigenous Pampallacta community within the highlands of the Sacred Valley. Located two hours from Cusco and one hour from Urubamba, this Andean landscape, all situated above 4000 masl (13 500 ft), offers a distinctive and awe-inspiring setting.

The lake, abundant with rainbow trout ranging from 25 to 50 cm (10 to 12 inches), promises an exciting fishing experience. Departing from Cusco at 7:00 AM, our journey takes us through the historic town of Pisac before reaching our starting point. A brief 20-minute walk through the mountains leads us to the prime fishing location at Inti Cocha by 9:00 AM.

Here, you'll have the opportunity to fish along the lake's shore, enjoying the stunning surroundings until noon. After a well-deserved break for lunch, the afternoon session resumes, allowing you to continue fishing until 2:30 pm. The return journey back to the Sacred Valley begins around 3:00 pm, with an estimated arrival at your hotel by 6:00 PM.

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:45 am, setting the stage for a spectacular journey through the expansive sierra, descending into the magestic Apurimac River, canyon at 2 200 masl (7 300 ft). Our first stop is at the sandy beach of "Rocoto," where our English-speaking professional river guides will equip you with all the necessary gear and provide a safety briefing.

As we venture into the water, get ready for the thrill of navigating Class III rapids. Along the way, we'll pass by the ancient bases of Inca bridges, soaking in the beauty of cascading waterfalls. It's not just a rafting adventure; it's a journey through history and nature.

Early morning wake up call with a fresh fruit salad breakfast with oats and yogurt, coffee, tea, granola. A walk near the camp to admire the flora. We pack our gear and start the float, today we can run more class lll plus rapids and have time to explore a creek, then we pass this magnificent rock formations call “The Black Canyon".

Afterwards a tributary river, the Santo Tomas, brings more water into the river and we will encounter several class IV rapids. A very good healthy lunch will be served and later on the float we will see some hanging bridges, also there are some good chances of close encounters with the local fauna, such as the torrent duck, foxes, andean gull and the magnificent condor. We camp on a Sandy beach underneath the stars of the southern hemisphere, seen the milkyway and the southern cross.

After another delightful breakfast, brace yourself for a day of thrilling adventure on the water, facing the most intense Class IV rapids such as "Trinchera," "El Encuentro," and "The Other Right."

This day provides ample time to explore enchanting waterfalls and meandering creeks. Our journey concludes at Puente Walpachaca around noon, marking the beginning of a four-hour drive back to Cusco.

After a leisurely morning of rest in the city of Cusco, we head towards the town of Lamay for a delightful outdoor lunch.

Following a well-deserved break, we continue our journey to the village of Lares. This marks the beginning of our next adventure, specifically the start of our three-night camping trek from Lares that leads us back to the Sacred Valley.

Our initial camp will be at the hot springs site, offering a magical night to prepare for the trek in the days ahead.

Start your day with a choice of taking a refreshing dip in the warm Lares hot springs if you feel like it. Picture yourself relaxing in the cozy water with beautiful views all around. After that, enjoy a yummy breakfast to get ready for our trek. Once we're all set, it's time to begin our trekking adventure. Get excited to explore, have fun, and enjoy the beauty of the journey!

From the thermal baths unfolds a small track, used by local children and community members. We pass through hand tilled fields and crops of quinoa and potato, amongst quaint stone houses. After a gradual climb of a couple of hours we will stop for a delicious lunch, before continuing on to the community of Cuncani, our camp for the evening. The night will be cold but charming.

​If the day is clear, we will wake up to the imposing view of Colque Cruz, a majestic mountain capped by a glacier, which provides water to the community. We follow the path next to an icy stream that will take us towards the pass. The ascent is challenging. We will have some hours of demanding but rewarding uphill, on rocky trails passing through incredible landscapes punctuated by high altitude lagoons. As we get closer to the pass, the trail becomes steeper and rockier.

On reaching the summit a stunning view of the Pampas of Anta awaits us, followed by a descent that will be most agreeable after such a long climb. The descent is steep but beautiful, crossing a small forest of ‘Polylepis’, the endemic and endangered trees of the high Andes. Just after the forest and with an incredible view of the valley below we will stop for lunch. After which the drop continues until we reach our camp, a tranquil paradise, surrounded by trees and crossed by a small river. Tonight, if we find some dry wood, we will enjoy a campfire.

This morning will be our last on the Lares Trail and after breakfast there will be a chance to take photos with our porters, cooks and field staff. All those who made this trip possible.

From here the walk becomes easier down to the piscigranja (fish farm). We will feel the climate changing, becoming warmer and more alive, with more variety in vegetation as hummingbirds accompany us on our journey.

After a few short hours we will meet our private transportation that will take us to Ollantaytambo for an overnight.

We will take the train from Ollantaytambo train station to Km 104, where the short Inca Trail starts.

The valley turns into a canyon and the scenery begins to alter as the cloud forests appear on our approach to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We will disembark the train at Km 104 and start the hike along a quite challenging uphill path.

This ancient Inca Trail takes us uphill all the way to the magnificent archeological complex of Wiñay Wayna, from where there are many steep steps to climb to reach the upper part of the Archaeological Site. Here we find a fabulous sense of peace far from the crowds. with superb views of the imposing verdant mountains and native orchids. The trail now becomes gentler, continuing all the way to the Sun Gate, where we arrive to Machu Picchu through its real entrance. It is from here that we will have our first glimpse of the Machu Picchu citadel. We then cross the site to take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and check in to our lodge to rest and relax, in anticipation of a full day visit tomorrow.

Good Morning! Rested and enthusiastic for our ultimate day we have the option to relax this the morning or have a wander round the town.

Today we will lunch early in one of Aguas Calientes’ excellent restaurants in order to arrive to the Citadel in good time for our full afternoon tour. Accompanied by our guide, we take a 25 minute bus ride to the sanctuary of Machupicchu (2 400m / 7 874ft). Our guide will lead us in a tour of exploration and discovery of the many curious corners within this enigmatic Citadel. Our guided tour will have an average duration of 2 hours.

Machu Picchu with Huaynapicchu choice:

If you feel like you could take on another uphill challenge, you have the option to climb the famous mountain of Huayna Picchu this morning, pre afternoon tour. It is important to mention that to climb this mountain, you need to buy a separate ticket in advance. Please confirm that you want to make this climb at the time of making your booking with us. The trail consists of many steep narrow steps (not recommended for people who suffer vertigo), the height of the mountain is 2700m / 8858ft (the climb is 300 m.) We will climb Huayna Picchu at 10am. The route is around 3 hours round trip. We will then exit Machu Picchu citadel and have our lunch at Sanctuary Lodge just outside the entrance to the Citadel. After lunch we re-enter the citadel at 2pm for our guided tour of the citadel itself.

As the site closes for the day at 5:30pm we bus back down to Aguas Calientes. We then have a charming train journey back to Ollantaytambo and time to reflect on, quite possibly, one of the most amazing experiences of your life. Our private transport will be waiting to take us back to your hotel.

After breakfast, we will walk through Ollantaytambo and marvel at these extraordinary well preserved village. Located around a quiet square, famous for its peaceful charm. The little-altered layout of the town offers an unprecedented look into the way of life of its ancient people: the Incas. Even the street names are original.

Afterwards, we head back to El Albergue for a traditional lunch known as "pachamanca," a really authentic Peruvian cooking vibe. There, we dive into a cool experience with an organic farm. Also, if you're up for it, we can check out a Cañazo distillery and a coffee roasting spot, complete with tastings.

After enjoying our memorable lunch, we can relax and enjoy the accommodations of the Lodge. The afternoon is at your leisure.

Embarking on a morning adventure, we set out from our hotel, ascending to the captivating high plateau of Anta. Our full-day escapade kicks off in Cruzpata, a quaint community near the picturesque Piuray Lagoon, part of the charming town of Chinchero. To acclimate to our bikes, we navigate an old dirt trail that meanders through the breathtaking scenery.

Our cycling journey leads us to the archaeological marvel of Moray, renowned as a former agricultural laboratory where indigenous potatoes were cultivated across different ecological tiers, each mirroring a unique climate.

After a leisurely break in the nearby town of Maras, our biking adventure unfolds, guiding us along scenic paths to the mesmerizing salt mines. The decision to descend to Pichingoto town in the Sacred Valley is left to the passengers, allowing for a tailored experience. Finally, we return to the city of Cusco, having savored a day brimming with captivating landscapes and cultural revelations.
