DAY 1 - JOURNEY TO ARGENTINA & EXPLORING EL CALAFATE

We start this journey flying from Buenos Aires to El Calafate, where we’ll pick you up at the airport and drive west into Los Glaciares National Park. Our destination is Estancia Nibepo Aike, a historic Patagonian ranch on Lago Argentino, where open steppe, mountain views, and authentic ranch life await. Enjoy a horseback ride across scenic trails and a traditional Patagonian dinner to end your first day in Patagonia.

DAY 2 - NIPEBO AIKE: SHEARING, GLACIER VISIT & PERITO MORENO WALKWAYS

Start the day with a sheep shearing demonstration, learning about the estancia’s traditional rural life. Then board a boat to navigate the southern arm of Lago Argentino (Brazo Rico)—a scenic and less-traveled route within the national park. You’ll disembark for a guided hike through remote Patagonian landscapes, leading to a stunning viewpoint of the Perito Moreno Glacier.

After the hike, visit the iconic glacier walkways, where you'll have time to explore at your own pace and admire this natural wonder from different angles. In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred back to El Calafate town, where you can unwind and enjoy a relaxed evening. Consider strolling through the town’s quaint center, checking out local craft shops, or trying some regional specialties like Patagonian lamb or calafate liqueur. Tonight we also have a special dinner waiting for you!

DAY 3 - LA LEONA RIVER KAYAK & TRANSFER TO EL CHALTEN

Today’s experience combines adventure and scenery, beginning with a kayak journey down the winding La Leona River, which links Lago Viedma and Lago Argentino. As you paddle along this quiet waterway, you’ll be surrounded by the vast Patagonian steppe, dramatic rock formations, and distant mountain views. The pace is gentle and suitable for beginners, with expert guides ensuring a safe and enriching outing. 
After your kayaking adventure and a light lunch, you’ll continue by vehicle toward El Chaltén, traveling along the legendary Route 40. The journey offers sweeping views of the Southern Andes, and on clear days, you may even spot the iconic peaks of Fitz Roy in the distance as you approach Patagonia’s trekking capital.

Question 4

DAY 4 - LAGUNA LOS TRES - FITZ ROY

We leave El Chaltén by car and follow the Río de las Vueltas to our starting point 17km away. From there, we hike along a beautiful trail through the lenga forest, following the Río Blanco (White River) towards the Poincenot campsite. Along the way, we will stop to learn a little about the flora and fauna that is characteristic of the Patagonian Andean forest and also visit the beautiful Piedras Blancas (White Rocks) viewpoint.

Here we will see the Piedras Blancas glacier and its associated glacial features, including the erratic boulders and lateral moraines left behind as the glacier retreated over the last few decades. We will have many different views of the Fitz Roy mountain chain as we make our way towards our final objective for the day - the magnificent Laguna de Los Tres. This unforgettable location has the best view of Cerro Fitz Roy - and one of the most impressive vistas in all of Patagonia.

Question 5

DAY 5 -  LAGUNA TORRE - CERRO TORRE

After breakfast, we leave Cerro Fitz Roy behind us and head off towards a lovely
valley with rolling hills and the Lagunas Madre e Hija (Mother and Daughter lagoons).
We will have plenty of time to stop and take photos and, if we are very lucky, we may
even spot the small group of Cauquenes that is sometimes found in the area. The
trail leads us through forests of Lenga and Ñires and across a large moraine before
arriving at our destination - Laguna Torre (Tower Lake).

Here, we will stop and have lunch while taking in the spectacular views of the Torres
mountain chain and Glacier Grande (Big Glacier). If the weather conditions allow, we will then hike towards the viewpoint Maestri for the closest view of Glacier Grande.
This viewpoint is named after the controversial Italian climber, Cesare Maestri, who
designed his strategies for climbing one of the most difficult mountains in the world from this location.
Once we are ready, we will descend a little to our home for the night at the Torre’s
campsite and settle in for the evening. If the sunset looks promising - we will return to the lake to watch.

Question 6

DAY 6 - BACK TO CHALTEN AND DRIVE TO CALAFATE

After breakfast, we return to El Chaltén, where a private transfer will be waiting for the drive back to El Calafate. It's a relaxed end to the trekking portion of the journey, with time to rest and enjoy the changing scenery along the way.

Question 7

DAY 7 - RETURN TO BUENOS AIRES & FAREWELL
